A countersink is a precision-engineered cutting tool designed to create a conical recess in a workpiece, enabling flat- or oval-head screws, bolts, or rivets to sit flush with or below the material’s surface. This process not only enhances the visual appearance of the finished component but also improves safety by eliminating protruding fasteners that could cause snagging or interference during use.
Countersinks are commonly manufactured in standard angle 90°, depending on the application and the fastener type.
