The MWLNR and MWLNL are external turning toolholders built to ISO standard, designed for use with WNMG 80° trigon negative-rake inserts. The top-clamp system holds the insert securely under heavy cutting loads, ensuring consistent tool life, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish across a wide range of materials.
The 80° trigon insert geometry delivers a strong, versatile cutting edge suited to both roughing and semi-finishing passes. Three cutting edges per side – six in total – make WNMG inserts a cost-effective choice for general-purpose external turning. The negative rake provides added edge strength and performs reliably in interrupted cuts and on harder workpiece materials.
Available in right-hand and left-hand configurations, with two shank sizes and insert capacities to suit different machine tool setups and depths of cut.
